Delamere’s African charity
KIDS FOR KIDS helps children living in remote villages in Darfur, Sudan, who live lives of inexcusable hardship. It is the only organisation created specially to help these children. For example by providing a family with a goat, they have a daily source of nutrition, as well as an animal to breed to farm more livestock and an importent food source.

This is terrific news – and could not be at a better time. I have just returned from Darfur where I was shocked to find seriously ill babies in hospital, suffering from severe malnutrition. Drought is causing devastation in the villages – and people without goats have quite literally nothing to eat. Our goat’s milk is saving lives. And so are our donkeys as they help people to collect water from long distance. Your half marathon is a long distance – and I hope thinking of our little donkeys will keep you going!
