About 25(!) years ago I began to have symptoms of arthritis in my hands. This was particularly worrying as (a) my mother’s were then in a rather crippled state for that reason and (b) I am an artist/designer so the state of my hands is critically important to me. I consulted my then GP who advised painkillers – these just made me feel worse, so I decided to rely on my own initiative. Three things became my rule: a largely vegetarian diet; avoidance of additives in prepared foodstuffs; goat’s milk rather than cows’. It is not possible to say that any one of these played a major role, (personally, I believe them to be equally important) but within 3 weeks my symptoms had disappeared and I have not so suffered since (now aged 85).
Have used Goats milk in the past. One of my children had a skin complaint and we wwere told by an older person in our village to use it. We di and she was fine in no time. We look forward to using it for a long time to come.
I use goats milk because I am intolerant to cows milk, soya, oats, coconut and sunflower which they put in rice milk. You could say I am just INTOLERANT. I usually us a uht or powdered form when cooking. Like one of the other comtributor I need it for my first cuppa of the day!
My friend runs an Animal Sanctuary and has used goats milk for years for certain skin complaints. All the cats and dogs drink it too. When we have open days she makes tea & coffee for the visitors using goats milk. It is surprising how many people we have converted. I love it.
my son loves goats milk as he cant drink cows milk because it makes him hyperactive! its lovely and creamy and has so many health properties im suprised more people dont drink it!
Really looking forward to trying goats milk for my daughter who has M.E. and has found she is very intolerant to cows milk/cheese etc. along with many other food intolerances now poor love
I have just been diagnosed as having a high intolerance to cow’s milk and cow’s milk products. This was a bit of a bombshell as I’ve been eating and drinking them for my whole life! Also a bit of a nuisance because I joined Slimmers’ World in January with the determination to lose lots of weight, and most of their recipes and recommended eating is based around cow’s milk products (eg extra low fat dairylea triangles, skimmed milk, quark, fat free fromage frais, low fat creme fraiche, cottage cheese, mullerlite yogurts etc etc).
So now I am floundering around to try and find the equivalent low fat/fat free type things made from either goat’s milk or sheep’s milk – and haven’t been too successful so far!
I will try the semi skimmed goat’s milk and would love to hear if anyone else can recommend anything for me.
Thanks,
my son developed eczema 30 years ago and was advised by a friend to use the goats milk diet. He has been clear since. Do not include bovine protein in the diet, exclude cakes, biscuits etc. Make your own and watch the ingredients – use vegetable alternatives. Goats milk was not so freely available then and we met some interesting people whilst holidaying who supplied us with the milk.
I bought your goats milk for my husband. I asked him what he likes about it and the answer is simply the taste!
He’d love a voucher for another carton!
Started using it for my puppy as they can have sensative tummies, ran out out cows milk one day and tried this instead, would not go back to cows milk now, it tastes so much nicer.
We currently use podwered sheep milk for our puppies but goats milk would make a nice replacement which can also be enjoyed by the human family members
Good Evening,
I am the Fresh Foods Manager at a local Supermarket. (Wont advertise, but it MORRISONS!!!!) We supply both semi skimmed and whole varieties of delemere goats milk. Hopefully in the future other varieties of this milk. I have never tried the goats milk, and as a retailer of this milk, would benefit from trying the product.
Love goats milk and couldn’t resist the offer of a free sample. Even skimmed tastes far creamier than full fat cows milk and I am advised it helps with my rhinitis
I know goats milk is good for everyone for so many reasons. Years ago I tried goats milk and it had quite a strong taste.
I suppose the older you get the more important it is to use goats milk, so I saw your offer on delamere and thought I would try the semi-skimmed and I must say I was pleased with the taste. Although I will be buying your product in the future it will be nice to get a free one, thank you!
My baby son struggled to drink formula milk, i just thought i was doing it wrong as my previous two children were breast fed and bottle feeding was new to me. After a few months my son developed eczema and we were just given the usual creams. Nothing seemed to help. A friend suggested soya which had a difficult taste. I also suffered badly from IBS. We both changed to Goats milk over two years. My IBS is almost non-existent and my son’s eczema is better but not gone. We also have goats yogurt, i just wish you did little flavoured pots for kids, this would be so helpful for my son school lunches, as we still have to give him cow’s milk yogs. Could you let me know if thats a possibility.
Just love it and worried about the dairy industry practices.
